Personal papers, 1895-1983, (bulk 1924-1953).

The personal papers of Harry Ransom contain materials reflecting his preparatory school and college years, as well as his relationship to his mother Marion G. Ransom and his wife Hazel. Included are class notes, examinations, a commonplace book, together with a large group of photographs, most of which date from 1924 to 1944. A small group of personal correspondence is included, as is memorabilia and minor printed material. There is little reflecting Ransom's early years as a University of Texas instructor and nothing dealing with his career as an administrator there after 1950.

4 boxes (1.68 linear feet) plus oversize material.
